6 Things You Can Do to Reduce Your Ecological Footprint

This year for our Grade 7 mid-year project we each made an infographic recapping all that we had learned about how to be a positive impact on our world. Along with a paper copy of our work we have some digital copies to help be a little more sustainable. We hope you can use some of our suggestions to reduce your ecological footprint! - Abby - Grade 7 Student

Water and Our Ecological Footprint - What is our impact? What do we risk losing?

As we continue to think about our ecological foot print and the steps we can take to reduce our impact, we read and discuss an article recently posted about the Cape Town Water Crisis. This major city is at the risk of running out of water in the next few months and this article discusses whether or not this is something we may have to face as Canadians in the future.

After reading the article, with your group decide how you will take notes on the front of your page.  You may do sketch notes, Cornell notes, a web or simply jot notes, but choose the method that you think will best display your understanding.  Once you are done taking your notes, you will work on a summary of the article and write it on a coloured post-in.  This will join the other post-its we are using to build up the content for our "6 Things".

Let's get started with the article.
